A SNAPSHOT AT THE MUSEUM
Museo Galileo has decided to launch a photography contest on the occasion of the Images of science exhibition. All visitors are invited to take photos of the museum—both outside and inside the exhibition rooms—with their cameras, smartphones or tablets, without using a flash or tripod.
A museum panel will review the submitted photographs and select three winners, whose names will be published by October 31, 2017.
The first prize winner will receive a copy of the museum catalogue (Museo Galileo: Masterpieces of Science, Giunti, 2010, 333 pp.), the museum guide (Museo Galileo: A Guide to the Treasures of the Collection, Giunti, 2010, 95 pp.) and three illustrated booklets made by the museum’s Education Department (Galileo, what a Genius!, Amerigo Vespucci and his Adventures in the New World and Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena: A “Grand” Grand Duke). Both the second and third prize winners will receive a copy of the museum guide and the three booklets.
A selection of the best pictures will be posted on Museo Galileo’s Facebook pag.
